Qualinvest Capital Limited, Nigeria (“QCap”) was incorporated in November, 1992 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wema Bank, Nigeria.
QCap obtained a Broker/Dealer license from the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) in 1992 and subsequently became an Authorized Dealer of the Nigeria Stock Exchange (“NSE”).
In 2004, QCap was licensed as an Issuing House by the SEC. QCap is also authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to deal in the Nigerian Treasury Bills.
Over the years, QCap has been offering diverse services and products including Stockbroking, Asset Management and Financial Advisory.
QCap now offers bespoke solutions to clients across the markets in areas of Capital Raising, Financial Advisory, Stockbroking and Asset Management. Using our strong deal origination & execution capabilities.

In 2012, Wema Bank divested all its holdings in compliance with the directive of the CBN to all banks to divest from non-core banking businesses.
Following the divestment of Wema Bank, Butterpot Capital Limited (“BCL”) acquired controlling stake in QCap with a view to transforming it into a one-stop investment banking firm.
QCap is now repositioned as an emerging markets-focused investment banking firm leveraging on our impressive & effective business network in emerging markets.
