The Nigerian Equity Market Reverses Loss as NGX-ASI Rises by 0.25%

The Nigeria Equity Market closed trading activities for today, Wednesday(24/08/2022) positive as the NGX-ASI increased by 0.25% to 48,675.33 from 48,554.76  indicating a YTD return of +13.95%. Similarly, the market capitalization increased by N65.36 billion to 26.25 trillion from N26.61 trillion .The market turnover increased to N3.37billion  from N3.18 billion. The market breadth was positive at 1.46x, as 16 stocks advanced and 11 stocks declined, while 73 remained unchanged. NEM topped the gainers’ list with +10.00%, while FIDSON declined by -9.80% to lead the losers’ chart. Also, ACCESSCORP recorded the highest volume; while MTNN recorded the highest value of trade for the day.
